This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Science Writer, Nebius Academy (Contract) based in Germany. As an AI Science Writer, you’ll translate cutting-edge AI and machine learning research into accurate, engaging, and accessible stories. You’ll work at the intersection of scientific research, technical communication, journalism, and multimedia storytelling. A core part of the role will be reviewing new models, architectures, papers, and research to identify what is genuinely novel and important. You’ll turn complex technical concepts into compelling written and visual narratives through articles, explainers, diagrams, charts, and other formats. You’ll engage directly with researchers, engineers, founders, and scientific leaders to investigate ideas and verify technical claims. The role also offers opportunities to cover major conferences, host research-focused events, and experiment with AI-assisted editorial workflows. This is an ongoing contract position with a fixed monthly retainer, flexibility, and potential opportunities for longer-term career growth. Accountabilities Produce accurate and engaging scientific and technical reviews covering new AI models, architectures, research papers, internal research, and emerging trends. Analyze technical papers and research findings to identify meaningful innovations, understand methodologies, evaluate limitations, and communicate their significance. Transform complex model architectures and technical concepts into clear visual narratives, including infographics, diagrams, charts, and other multimedia elements. Develop written content across multiple formats, including analytical reports, long-form features, interviews, technical explainers, newsletters, webinar scripts, and social media content.
