Assistant Management Accountant Location: London (Hybrid) Contract: Permanent Salary: 36,500 A London Arts organisation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant, or someone qualified by experience, looking to broaden their management accounting expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. About the Role: Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting across the organisation. Working closely with finance colleagues and operational stakeholders, you will provide timely financial information, assist with month-end activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting. This role offers excellent exposure to management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career in finance. Key Responsibilities: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Monitor departmental budgets and investigate variances against budget and forecast, providing meaningful analysis and commentary. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and maintaining project budgets, ensuring financial information remains accurate and up to date. Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and deferred income. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the preparation of year-end audit information. Support the calculation and reconciliation of royalty or revenue-share payments where applicable. Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax-related reporting. Produce financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making. Contribute to finance system enhancements, reporting improvements and wider process improvement
