HEADLINE: Job Title: Legal Counsel Reporting to: General Counsel Location: London - Hybrid-Working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home ABOUT THE ROLE: APEXX is pioneering payment orchestration, transforming the global payments landscape with cutting-edge technology and innovation. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join APEXX’s Legal & Compliance team, providing front-line guidance and support across all areas of the business. You will work closely with our General Counsel and wider business to support a broad range of commercial and legal matters, gaining significant exposure to the day to day operations of a fast-paced, international FinTech. This is a generalist role offering a high level of commercial involvement. WHAT YOU’LL DOING: This is a hands-on, commercially focused role supporting the General Counsel with several key elements including: Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of complex commercial agreements Delivering legal and strategic advice to different areas of the business on a variety of matters ranging from financial regulation and the payments ecosystem, contracts, negotiations, documentation, client issues, employment, compliance, IP, IT, marketing and data protection Supporting the commercial teams and wider business in discussions with customers, partners and suppliers Identifying legal and regulatory risks related to the introduction of new products and expansion into new markets Helping to identify, prepare and deliver training to the business on relevant legal and commercial issues Delivering continuous improvement in operating practices and processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement ABOUT YOU: You’ve done this before : You’ll be a qualified lawyer with some post qualification experience (1-2+ years PQE) ideally working within Startups, FinTech or Payments.
