The Role This is a newly created role sitting at the centre of some of Checkout.com 's most sensitive and consequential regulatory moments. Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, the Senior Manager, Regulatory Inspections and Strategic Response will manage Checkout's most important regulatory situations end-to-end, whether planned or unplanned. In practice, that means two connected mandates. The first is the planned, cyclical work of running Checkout's regulatory inspections and examinations — a methodical, deadline-driven discipline that forms the steady-state core of the role. The second is the unplanned work: leading the response to the exceptional, time-critical and commercially sensitive situations that require a calm cross-functional leader to bring them to a resolution. You will be the person the business turns to when a regulator opens an inspection, and when a sensitive cross-functional situation needs to be stabilised quickly and handled with judgement.
